Day 1

Hi love.

As promised, I'll write to you everyday so when you get back .. you can read through all of it & it will feel like you were here the whole time. I know, this probably sounds awfully corny but I thought it was a good idea last night & I'm sticking to it.

This morning, I slept in till 11am. I briefly remember speaking to you earlier this morning when you got to the airport. I wish you didn't tell me to go back to sleep so I could stay up & talk to you a bit longer. Grr @ you for that! Back to what I was saying, it felt great to be able to sleep in. After all, that's what you're supposed to be doing during the summer time right?

For lunch, we went to Zona Fresco - Fresh Mexican Grill. I've seen this place a million times but never knew how fabulous it was. It's 1 plaza down from our cupcake shop (Sweeter Days) and they've got the most fantastic mexican food ever. I devoured my food so quickly that I didn't even get a chance to snap a proper photo to show you. So here's a photo of the aftermath! Hehehe, forgive me?

I can't wait to take you there. I know you would really enjoy it. Also, I discovered my new found love for cilantro lime beans & rice. Omg, so yummy!

After lunch, we went to Macys to pick out silverware & new linens for the house. I must say, shopping with Milan is quite enjoyable. He's such an easy shopper. He's not overly picky and not indecisive at all. If he likes it, he buys it. End of story. Overall, it was a very successful shopping trip. They were able to pick out a really nice set of sheets & things for the master bedroom, a set of bath towels & rugs for the bedroom and really great set of Oneida silverware.

Since we were at the Galleria, I was going to get a funfetti cupcake from you know where but unfortunately I was so stuffed from lunch that I decided not to. In fact, I was so full that when I got home.. I went straight to bed. I napped til it was dinner time.

For dinner, I helped mom prepare burgers for the grill & sauteed some mushrooms. Mhm, look at my burger babe!

Milan made this armenian dish that I forgot what it was called. It was made out of tomatoes , cracked wheat, chopped onions, parsley, cucumbers & lime juice. It was really fresh and tasty. Kinda remind me of gazpacho. Supposedly if we let it sit in the fridge & let the cracked wheat soak up more of the juice.. it will be even better tomorrow. I can't wait to try it!

As for dessert, I served everybody the butter pound cake with your cake batter ice cream & strawberries. They loved it! Truthfully, I still like the cake batter ice cream from ritters the best. It will always be my favorite. This one was yummy too but it just doesn't impress me that much. I'm so spoiled when it comes to eating good food. Aren't I?

After dinner, Victoria & I did our laundry and then played on the WII. I discovered that I can kick some major butts in WII bowling. Who knew huh?

We spent the majority of the evening helping mom organize her closet. After 4 hrs, I think .. we're somewhat done. For the most part, it is done. She's just gotta go pick up a few storing baskets from Ikea tomorrow & she'll be set. In the mist of all the madness of helping her set up her walking closet, I did manage to grab a few things for myself. One woman's trash is another woman's treasure! Better believe it. I got myself 2 Chanel rings, a Chanel necklace, 2 cocktail rings, a black vest & a makeup bag. I'll probably use the makeup bag as a pencil pouch for when the semester starts back up, only because I'm such a G like that ;]

I'll end this post here because it's already midnight. I should probably get to bed. I miss you lots. Not having you around makes me realize how much I love having you around & spending time with you, even if we're just sitting around doing absolutely nothing. I love that.

Goodnight loverboy.
