Day 2

Babyyyyy, I have so much to tell you. (Don't I always?)

First of, it's official.. our old house is listed for sale. All the contracts & everything was signed this morning. It's still quite a shock that my mom is actually going through with it. I guess, she's at a dead end & there isn't any other options. Katherine, the realtor agent/friend of the family/mom's new church buddy, said that if the house doesn't receive much interests on the market.. we'll list it for rent after 6 months. We'll just have to wait& see..

Me, mom & Victoria went to ikea earlier this morning. I have never seen ikea so EMPTY. It was weird. I didn't mind having though. In fact, it gave me plenty of time & space to look through everything .. and my goodness.. I looked through EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, it was a very unsucessful trip. All I got was 3 jars of candles & a toothbrush holder. Seriously?! A freaking toothbrush holder! I could've gone that silly thing at Walmart! Whatever, enough about that .. one good thing that came out of that trip to ikea was my new found appreciation for lingonberry. Oh baby, it smells heavenlyyyyyyy. I wanted to buy ALL the lingonberry candles I could get my hands on!!!! They even had lingonberry juice & lingonberry jelly too! I want to try them all because if it taste anything as good as it smells.. I'll die happy! Hurry back home so we can go raid Ikea & try all lingonberry things!!

I was pretty bummed out about my unsucessful trip to ikea so I spent the majority of the afternoon cleaning & organizing my desk. I'm obsessed with constantly organizing & re-organizing. It's a problem. I never know when to stop. Just when it's perfect.. I feel the need to make it BETTER and better and better. Well, you get the point..

It's just a vicious cycle.

But yeah, my desk is so neatly organized it's sickening. I'm really proud of myself & cannot be any happier with the result. I can't wait for you to come home & see it :)

And then I even volunteered myself to organize mom's jewelry too! Lol, I was really in an organizing/cleaning mood today.

For dinner, Milan baked Cod fish filet with this fantastic homemade breadcrumb (crushed crackers, parmesan cheese, salt & butter). It was my first time trying Cod fish. It's pretty delicious. Really rich & buttery texture. The flesh itself reminds me of scallops, really nice. You would love it! Also, mom made papaya salsa! Mhmm, love love loveeee!

After dinner, us girls decided to go to Marshalls while Milan had to take an important phone call. Ahhhhh, I was in lalaland. There was so much new merchandise. Wait, let me rephrase. THERE WAS SOOOO MUCH NEW & FABULOUS MERCHANDISE!

This gorgeous crocodille-esque Marciano bag caught my attention. It was so different and it was just perfection. Unfortunately, I wasn't planning on dropping $100 at Marshalls on a random Monday night. I decided to put the purse down & keep going. It seems as if every isle had something that was just calling my name. There was these really cute pair of wedges from Steve Madden. And then this Betsy Johnson pocketbook. Ah, it was just intense!

After about 15 minutes, I had an armful of things. I bought 3 jewelry trays from the Raymond Waites collection. So so so so cute!!! (Wait till you see what I've done to my jewelry display area) I also bought 2 vintage-y looking cups to use as a pencil & pens holder for my desk. I bought some coasters for the house.

And at last but not least.. I bought this super super cute purple handbag. It was such a good bag & had such a great price, I had to get it. I was debating betw/ getting the black or the purple one. Mom & Victoria talked me into getting the purple one. Since the price was so affordable, I almost wanted to purchase BOTH bags & wait till you come home to help me decide which one to keep.

Now that I'm thinking about it.. maybe I should go back & get the black bag too. No! No! I can't. I have way too many 'black' handbags already. Plus, the purple looks so regal. Oooh, it gives me chills just thinking about it.

It's almost 11pm here so I should probably get ready for bed. I have a double shift @ the restaurant tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to going to work because I need to make some major $$. That Marciano bag isn't going to buy itself ya know? ;]

I miss you. Dolce misses you too. I hope today was a fun day for you. I can't wait to hear all of the wonderful stories fr. your trip when you get back. Until then, be safe.

xoxo
